C'est peut-être vrai dans beaucoup d'endroits mais à Saint-Étienne au Moyen-Age, l'église était en bordure des fortifications. Un érudit local réalisant une maquette au XIXe s. l'avait donc remis au centre car cette localisation choquait son sens de la logique.

Mais c'était quand même le pur fruit de son imagination.

Comme quoi…

Je sais, cela n'a aucun rapport avec le sujet, quoique…

On December 1, 2017 Ahmaud Arbery and three associates were by store personnel as they attempted to push a 65” Vizio television out of a Walmart. They were unable to produce a receipt and the store employees would not let them take the TV out of the store.

Police were called and stopped the four persons of interest in the parking lot on suspicion of theft.

Bodycam video of the incident shows that Arbery, then aged 23, told the police officers he was twenty years old. When an officer asked Arbery about the 65” TV he tried to push out of the store, Arbery replied “I don’t know nothin’ abut no TV brother“ Shortly after that, Arbery claimed “I had a receipt bro.”

Arbery was arrested. The Daily Beast, which reviewed the court files, has confirmed that Arbery was convicted of this "theft by shoplifting" charge:

Bon le procès a lieu, juste après Kenosha, ce sera intéressant de voir le verdict.

Bon, par contre j'apprends qu'il vaut mieux être allemand aux USA.

Jurors found Travis McMichael guilty of murder Wednesday for chasing and fatally shooting Ahmaud, a 25-year-old Black man, as he jogged last year through a neighborhood in Glynn County, Georgia.

McMichael now faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. 

Jurors convicted him of one count of malice murder and four counts of felony murder

He has also been indicted on three separate federal hate crime charges, which include interference with rights, attempted kidnapping and using, carrying, brandishing, and discharging a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. McMichael pleaded not guilty to the federal charges. 

The federal trial is set to take place in February. Since he was being held on the state charges, there has been no federal bond hearing yet. If convicted on the federal charges, he could face an additional penalty of up to life in prison.

Qu'est-ce qui te fait penser que le jury a du mal à comprendre ce principe?

 

Il y a 3 accusés, et il faut décider de quel chef d'inculpation chacun est coupable. Ça n'est pas une question oui/non, c'est normal que ça prenne du temps.

 

edit après avoir vu l'update de Marlenus:

La justice américaine semble marcher bizarrement bien ces derniers temps. Tant mieux.
