The FBI identified the suspect as 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar, U.S. citizen from Texas. “He was driving a Ford pickup truck, which appears to have been rented and we are working to confirm how the subject came into possession of the vehicle,” the agency said in a Wednesday afternoon statement. Officials recovered weapons and a potential IED inside the vehicle as well as an ISIS flag, which the FBI “is working to determine the subject’s potential associations and affiliations with terrorist organizations,” the statement read. Other potential IEDs were located in the French Quarter. Authorities are working to determine whether any of the devices are viable. Earlier Wednesday, the FBI confirmed that the suspect is dead after engaging with police. Shamsud-Din Jabbar's Wife Got Restraining Order Against Him Citation The ex-wife of Shamsud-Din Jabbar took out a restraining order against him in 2020 during divorce proceedings. Jabbar, 42, of Houston, was a former military member and father of at least three children. He appears to have been married, and divorced, at least twice. Cela l'est tant que c'est faire ses classes. Quand c'est pour faire la guerre, en général, les vétérans sont pas beaux à voir au retour. Rien que pour les USA, si on a eu pleins de films sur la difficile réinsertion des vétérans, ce n'est pas un hasard. Les gueules cassées en France en 1919 c'était pas drôle non plus.
