Not for me. This whole state seems like one giant city to me… You can't go anywhere without seeing houses, roads, and people. People who have always lived here think they are in "the boondocks".

Most of that I did in Colorado. I haven't done much of that around here, other than keeping up the skills. You can practice survival skills in a city or in your house if necessary, it just isn't as fun that way. Once you learn the skills you find ways to use them in everyday situations wherever you may be.

A better distinction I read earlier was that socialists try to make people materially better off through use of force, while conservatives try to make people moral through use of force.

This distinction is not satisfactory.

The values defended by conservatives don't limit themselves to ethics but widen to Law.

So where do you do the surviving stuff ?

This was my "camp" behind my house where I spent most of my time when I lived in Colorado. I built a wikiup as a shelter and I had a nice firepit. I only started fires with a bow drill or flint and steel. You can see my rifle hanging on the tripod and the bag that is hanging there contains the firestarting bow drill kit. The wikiup was rainproof and I slept through many storms in it. I had an elk skin as a door flap and also one for the floor covering. I could also make a small fire inside, but didn't usually do that. I just thought you might enjoy seeing this.

Sure you can pay N times more and have N times more bandwidth by buying more devices.
