J'observe que de plus en plus de publications que je lis se posent la question de savoir pourquoi les politocards passent leur temps à chercher à faire telle ou telle loi pour protéger les enfants, et surtout se posent la question des coûts:

The Governator Wasting More California Taxpayer Money Over Unconstitutional Violent Video Game Ban

from the how-much-money-needs-to-be-wasted? dept

Last month, California was the latest in a long list of states who discovered that passing a ban on the sale of violent video games violates the Constitution. This shouldn't be a surprise. More than 10 states have passed such laws and every single one of them has been thrown out. Any state still trying to pass such a law is clearly just wasting taxpayer money so some politicians can claim (incorrectly) that they're "protecting the children." It looks like California's Governor Schwarzenegger is joining the crowd of wasteful grandstanding politicians. He's appealing last month's ruling and making a bunch of factually incorrect statements in doing so. [..]

Ohio federal judge strikes down Net-censorship law

It's no surprise that politicians are rarely conversant with the limits on their legislating found in the U.S. Constitution. But it is worth noting when federal judges have actually read the First Amendment and strike down a law accordingly.

[…]

The problem is that when Ohio politicians enact unconstitutional laws, and subsequently lose in court, taxpayers end up footing the bill. It would be a far more just system if politicians were held personally responsible for paying their fair share of a half-million dollar fine for their constitutional ignorance. I'm sure Ohio politicos would have no objection--right?

C'est pourtant évident:

Ils vont dire qu'une loi couteuse a été aboli à cause de la constitution et ensuite ils vont dire qu'il faut se débarasser de cette constitution. Tada!

Sont futés ces politiciens.
