Conflit Thaïlande - Cambodge

1- Depuis fin juillet 2025, la Thaïlande et le Cambodge connaissent une forte recrudescence des tensions à leur frontière, dues à des différends historiques et territoriaux autour des zones contestées (temples de Prasat Ta Muen Thom) et la région dite du Triangle d’émeraude. Des affrontements armés entre les deux armées ont éclaté, entraînant la mort d’au moins 30 Thaïlandais (dont 15 soldats), et 13 Cambodgiens, dont cinq militaires. Plus de 188,000 civils thaïlandais et 140,000 cambodgiens ont été déplacés des zones de conflit. Malgré la signature récente d’un cessez-le-feu grâce à une médiation internationale, des échanges de tirs ponctuels continuent d’être rapportés et la situation demeure fragile

Les deux pays s’accusent mutuellement d’avoir provoqué les hostilités, notamment en posant des mines terrestres ou en visant des infrastructures civiles. Conséquences importantes : fermeture de la frontière, évacuations massives et détérioration des relations diplomatiques. Les négociations se poursuivent tout de même, mais difficilement. Une réunion transfrontalière est prévue pour tenter de stabiliser la région. Le retour au calme est plus qu'incertain : le conflit sur la souveraineté des sanctuaires et certaines portions de la frontière n'est pas résolu.

Ros Serey Sothea (c. 1948 – c. 1977?) was a Cambodian singer. She was active during the final years of the Sangkum Reastr Niyum period and into the Khmer Republic period. She sang in a variety of genres; romantic ballads emerged as her most popular works. Despite a relatively brief career she is credited with singing hundreds of songs. Details of her life are relatively scarce. She disappeared during the Khmer Rouge regime of the late 1970s but the circumstances of her fate remain a mystery.
